Philip
W. Ashcraft

Phil Ashcraft's entire career has been spent in crop genetics. He
has more than 35 years of agribusiness management experience in the
global seed, horticulture and crop input industries. He has
specialized in leading business turnarounds and managing growth
strategies. Most recently, from 1990
to 2000, Phil Ashcraft served as President and Chief Executive
Officer at Harris Moran Seed Company, a research oriented,
vertically integrated, global vegetable seed company, based in
California. Harris Moran has seven research locations, three
production plants and five regional sales offices with sales in 68
countries.
Earlier, Phil Ashcraft spent 19 years with Agway, Inc. in Syracuse,
New York, serving in a number of executive positions. He was
responsible for the production, processing and distribution of seed,
chemical and fertilizer and directed the retail lawn and garden
operations. For the last six years at Agway, Phil served as
President of the $300 million crop services division.
Currently, Phil Ashcraft
serves as the U.S. representative and member of the Board of
Directors of the F.I.S. Vegetable and Ornamental Section, as
President of the American Seed Research Foundation, and on the Board
of the Seed Biotechnology Center at the University of California at
Davis. |
