Dr. Alan R. Gould -
Director
Dr.
Gould has over 25 years of accomplishment in
agricultural biotechnology.
Most recently he was Executive Vice President of Research
and Technology for RiceTec, Inc., the company responsible for the
first commercial introduction of hybrid rice into the US in 2000.
Previously Dr. Gould was with Dow
Chemical and its affiliates for over 12 years.
He was Vice President of Research and Development for
United AgriSeeds, Director of Agricultural Biotechnology and Plant
Breeding for Dow Chemical Company, Director of Biotechnology and
Plant Genetics for DowElanco, and Chief Scientist and Global
Leader for R&D Strategy with Dow AgroSciences.
Dr.
Gould is considered an expert in transgenic plant technology, experienced in intellectual property portfolio
development, "freedom-to-operate" pathways, and breeding
program evaluation.
Alan Gould holds a B.Sc. in
Biology from the University of Sussex and a Ph.D. in Plant Cell
Genetics from Leicester University, in the UK. He is
a graduate of the
Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, and the Advanced Management Program for Agribusiness Managers. |
