 Thomas F. "Bud" Hughes

Thomas F. (“Bud”) Hughes has more than 20 years experience in the
agricultural planting seed, genetics & crop traits industry
including 11 years as President & CEO of Stoneville Pedigreed Seed
Company, an internationally respected leader in the cotton and
biotech seed industries. Bud’s career has included considerable
experience as an operating business manager, preceded by a strong
background in seed production management. He has been personally
involved with a number of seed company and germplasm acquisitions;
negotiated commercial and research licenses with germplasm and
technology trait providers; led the analysis and establishment of
international business agreements; and successfully directed
financial performance through substantial organizational growth and
product line restructuring.
Most recently Mr. Hughes served as
President of TFH Agribusiness Consulting, a private company
providing consultation services to the seed & traits industry in
strategic planning, operational excellence analyses, and business
growth transitions. Bud holds a Bachelors degree in Agricultural
Sciences from Texas Tech University. He is a past Vice President for
the Southeastern Region of the American Seed Trade Association, has
served in leadership roles with numerous cotton and seed industry
organizations, and currently serves as Director of the Southern Seed
Association; Director of Agricenter International; and Chairman of
Memphis AgBioWorks. |
