Lee Brittain joined Verdant Partners' team of Advisors in 2023 to support and expand the firm's consulting practice.  Mr. Brittain helps manage Verdant's financial consulting services, including a broad array of projects centered on financial analysis, business valuation, market analysis & business strategy, and deal diligence & integration.

Mr. Brittain is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) providing a full range of business valuation services and a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Mr. Brittain began his career working for Teays River Investments, a private equity firm focused on food and agriculture.  Subsequently, he worked for CoverCress, which is developing a winter cover crop for use in renewable fuels.

Mr. Brittain’s background brings substantial expertise in capital management, finance, M&A, strategy, business valuation, financial analysis, sustainability, and risk management.  Mr.  Brittain emphasizes first principles thinking in his work to drive simplicity and enable rapid iterative improvements.

Mr. Brittain holds a bachelors degree in Agribusiness from Louisiana State University, and a masters degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois.  In addition to holding his CVA, Mr. Brittain also holds a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification and a Series 3 National Commodity Futures Exam license.
