Champaign, Illinois – Verdant Partners LLC is pleased to announce that Felipe Lanusse and Luis Casanova, dba Agrifex, of Buenos Aires, Argentina, have joined the Verdant team as Advisors, effective immediately.
Verdant Partners, founded in 1998, is a privately held, U.S. based transaction advisory and consulting services company, focused on mergers, acquisitions and business strategy in the global crop agribusiness industry. Verdant clients are active in a wide range of field, tree, and vegetable crop input products such as planting seeds, biotechnology, crop protection, and biological plant-health products, and in post-farm-gate output enterprises involved in commodity processing, whole foods, fresh produce, specialty food & feed ingredients and more.
The addition of agribusiness consultants Lanusse and Casanova, from their base in Buenos Aires, will bring added expertise and another dimension of service to agribusiness clients in South America, with a particular focus on Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile. Mr. Casanova has a formal education in agronomy, with a graduate degree in agribusiness management, formerly holding various management roles in Buenos Aires, Colombia, and Uruguay. Mr. Lanusse studied business administration and went on to also receive a graduate degree in agribusiness management, having formerly worked for Citibank and a large producer/marketer of rice.
